Todays work... The search for Maddox in OKC, OK.
We began our day at the home where Maddox escaped from. Cade and Teagan both confirmed the trail that witnesses reported when he bolted down the street. Like a typical Min Pin, Maddox followed his nose weaving in and out of streets. I am sure he was out of sight by the time the woman who was watching him returned with her car. He had already turned off the street she was looking on and was on to the next neighborhood.

Most of the day was spent figuring out what was Maddox and what was not in terms of sightings. By days end, we found that only one of the sightings that had been reported was in fact Maddox... the others were other black dogs. Cade and Trump both confirmed the same sighting that the other handler and her dog had confirmed. All the dogs took a similar trail with slight deviations so Kat Manning and Bosco were correct on this sighting. We did deviate after about a 1/2 mile... Cade went left where the other dog went into the water and crossed the creek. From this point on the trail was different. To be clear however.... Kat and her dog were correct by confirming this sighting was Maddox.
We wound around on a Min Pin haphazard trail in and out of open spaces behind houses and in drainage ditches. It became clear that we were not going to be able to mke much headway this way as we were circling and spiraling like a dog out on a lark.
I made the decision to begin scanning Cade and asking him to find scent in out reaching areas... we were looking for a trail out... where did Maddox go?
We drove Cade to different areas and asked him to find scent... any scent. He did and began to pull towards the northwest. WE followed him for a quarter mile and he began to pull asking us to get him through fences, yards and streets. He was airscenting Maddox scent... we know this because we asked Trump and Teagan if they could detect scent and both dogs alerted no. We followed Cade for another 1/4 mile and he brought us to the back of PetCo. He tried to go in the back door when an employee emptied the trash. At this point, Jackie and Brandon looked shocked and said...OMG, we brought Maddox here on the day he went missing!. Cade proceeded to the front of the store, went to the front door but then put his nose down and tracked to a parking space... He alerted the trail ends here... in the parking spot that Jackie and Brandon had parked with Maddox before he went missing!
We scanned several other places but it was late and decided to pick up tomorrow... Looking for the area where Maddox traveled through and is traveling now. I have got some tired dogs tonight... all asleep now except of course... Paco!
